Acupuncture is a system of healing that has been practiced for thousands of years. It's aim is to stimulate the body to heal itself. To balance the 'chi' energy that flows around the body. This is achieved by carefully placing needles on Acupuncture points which can be mapped out along meridians or energy lines running over the body.
Linda trained and qualified as a nurse in the Q.A.R.N.N.S then left the navy to join the NHS where she trained and qualified as a midwife. Having also qualified as a Acupuncturist, she left the NHS after 33 years. Linda trained as a Acupuncturist with the International Society of Biophysical Medicine and went on to gain her Licentiate in Acupuncture with The British Academy of Western Medical Acupuncture.
Conditions that may benefit from Acupuncture are:
Addictions, Asthma, Bells palsy, Colitis, Constipation, Dermatological problems, Dyspepsia, Excessive perspiration, Frozen Shoulder, Gynaecological problems, Hayfever, Haemorrhoids, Infertility, Migraine/headaches, Nervous depression, Osteo and Rheumatoid arthritis, Sciatica, Sinusitis, Tinitus, Trigeminal Neuralgia.
Linda's particular area of interest is in pregnancy and infertility. Acupuncture being able to help with many of the unpleasant effects of pregnancy such as; sickness and insomnia. A particular technique called Moxibustion can be used encourage breech babies to turn around.
